Human Papilloma Virus - How Not Have It

by Elizabeth Campbell

A specific type of virus that affects the skin and mucous membranes, specifically the genitals are the Human Papilloma viruses.

Different types of viruses from this class have the tendency to appear on certain areas of the skin. It is very important to know that there are some of these viruses, which can lead to cancer; those are the viruses with high level of risk. They can cause carcinomas in both men and women in the genital area.

There are also some types, which are viral viruses, and they are found in the lesions caused by them. These lesions can transform, under the influence of solar rays, into carcinomas, meaning an aggressive type of skin cancer. The evolution is very slow and it can stay out of sight for a long period. The vulgar manifestations of the virus, the moles, and the warts present themselves like growths of the skin. Sometimes, through their transparence, small thrombosis blood vessels.

The growths develop mainly on the fingers and on the hands. Having it on the palms and soles of the feet can be very painful and they can remove the natural lines of the skin. Flat moles are differentiated from the distended ones by their shape. The surface of the mole is smooth and very small measuring only to a few millimetres. They commonly develop on children’s skin and are mostly concentrated on the face, hands, and legs.

There are also hair-shaped moles, which are miniscule growths having the same colour of the skin and are generally located in the neck area. A healthy individual becomes infected when direly coming in direct contact with an infected individual. Sexual contact is one of the causes of its rapid spread. The virus is transmitted when it directly comes in contact with a traumatized area of the skin.

The growths also often develop on the skin of individuals always using public pools or on the skin of people in certain kind of jobs, such as butchers. So obviously, sexual contact is just one of the means of getting the disease.

As in all sexually transmitted disease, individuals with different sex partners are more at risk of contracting these diseases. The mother can also transfer the disease to the baby while giving birth. Thus, the baby will acquire respiratory infections as it could inhale the virus while being born.

The sexually transmitted form of the virus is the usual cause of sexually transmitted disease. The development period, from time of exposure to the appearance of growth may vary from two to nine months. During this time, the infected individual can infect other people he or she comes in contact with. It will do you more harm than good to protect yourself before having any kind of sexual relationship with a new partner.
